Mixed Economy Group of Colleges

 

The Mixed Economy Group of Colleges (MEG) represents over 40 Further Education Colleges with significant established, strategic and developmental provision of Higher Education.
Members focus on the complementary aims of widening participation amongst groups and individuals currently under-represented in Higher Education and working with employers to ensure that higher level skills are developed and recognised in the workplace. MEG’s work centres on research, sharing good practice and promoting College Based Higher Education. Central to this mission is a desire to foster positive relationships with key organisations and influencers in HE in FE including funding and regulatory bodies.
Members must have at least 500 HE students & meet regularly to focus on current concerns in CBHE. The group also organises masterclasses and various activities designed to support practitioners. MEG is primarily funded through membership subscription.
