Kent LSRN

This network, created in 2018, following on from the NEU National FE conference, organises #FEResearchMeets, based on the model founded by Sam Jones in Bedford and supported by NEU. ‘FEResearchMeets’ give a space to college staff and external staff to share and collaborate around their practitioner research interests. Meetings enable college staff and those from others in the districts of Kent to meet to get support with their practitioner research projects. These lead through to the #FEResearchMeet the following year.
The network opens up the opportunities discussed at national conferences to support teacher self-driven professional development through action research or practitioner research. The benefits of the model are that it is democratic, grassroots and open to anyone in further education with the focus firmly on those working in the post 16 sector.
