The Learning and Skills Network is an open network enabling people interested in research and the use of evidence in the FE, AE and Skills sectors to share ideas and work together. It was created bottom-up in 1997 and has no formal structure or funding. The community is bound together by common purposes and values.
People volunteer for tasks and sponsors help support activities. Convenors organise workshops and #researchmeets in various locations across the regions and a National Planning Group organises workshops nationally in collaboration with partners including NFER, NEU, Pearson and ETF. LSRN is currently assisting in the development of Networking the Networks.
