British Educational Research Association
The British Educational Research Association (BERA) is the home of educational research in the United Kingdom. We are a membership association committed to advancing knowledge of education by sustaining a strong and high quality educational research community.
Together with our members BERA is working to• Advance Research Quality• Build Research Capacity• Foster Research Engagement
BERA provides opportunities for everyone active in educational research to contribute through our portfolio of distinguished publications, our annual conference and other events, our grants, bursaries, fellowships and awards and our active peer community, organised around 33 Special Interest Groups.
BERA has 33 Special Interest Groups (SIGs), which represent the particular researchconcerns of our members and encompass both different disciplinary approaches to educational research and different educational concerns.
We also host dedicated forums for Post-Compulsory and Lifelong Learning and Higher Education, as well as Early Career Researchers and Independent researchers.
BERA is dedicated to supporting and promoting teacher research. We believe practitioners, academics and policy makers must collaborate to help shape a future curriculum in colleges and schools.
